The Importance of Sunscreen (yes even in March!)

There are studies that show that 90% of skin aging is from external factors. You can just imagine how many of those external factors are sun related. That is why it is crucial to wear sun protection 365 days a year, not just in the summer months. Whenever there is sunlight, there are damaging UVA rays. Most people think that if their skin isn’t burning, there is no damage being done. An easy thing to remember is that UVA rays are the “aging” rays and are occuring year round, all day long. These rays penetrate through windows and even some clothing, so even if you’re not outside, you still need to protect yourself. UVB rays are “burning” rays and are strongest during summer months.

Botox-Assisted Breast Augmentation Less Post-Op Pain Faster Time to see Final Results

(New York, NY) According to statistics released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), nearly 13.1 million surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures were performed in 2010, a 39% increase in the last decade. Who is with you during your consultation does affect your Breast Implant decision

In my New York City Plastic Surgery Office, many of my patients bring someone with them to their consultation. This support person may be a spouse, a parent, a friend or a co-worker. There is good reason to bring someone with you – they will help you remember what the doctor says and will also offer comfort during what can be an uncomfortable or embarrassing situation. But does the person who accompanies you really matter? When you are coming for breast implant augmentation, it definitely does! I find that breast implant size is directly influenced by the woman’s companion.
