Ear Reshaping
Ear Reshaping, or otoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure that is requested by young boys, girls and adults. Dr. Schulman has extensive experience in treating people of all ages interested in ear reshaping. He uses his artistic eye and advanced surgical techniques to:

- Correct ears that protrude far from the head

Ear Reshaping Surgery
During ear reshaping surgery, Dr. Schulman will make small incisions behind the ears. He may remove excess cartilage and trim skin when necessary. Dr. Schulman will then reshape the ears using carefully placed internal sutures. In cases, of over-protruding ears, he will place sutures that keep the ears closer to the side of your head. After surgery, you will wear a head band to protect your newly reshaped ears.
Dr. Schulman will see you in the days following the procedure to guide you through the recovery process. Within a week, people who have had ear reshaping usually return to most normal activities such as work or school. Dr. Schulman will carefully review when your are permitted to return to physical activities such as contact sports.
The procedure often provides for an enhancement in social, physical and professional activities. It is extremely beneficial to young children who may have experienced teasing from peers.
