How to Achieve a Butt like the Stars JLo, Kim Kardashian, and Beyonce
In the world of cosmetic surgery, it is common for patients to specifically request the body part of a Hollywood Star – not the actual body part in a Dexter sort of way, but that their body part be altered to resemble someone else’s. When it comes to buttocks, leading the list of most requested are Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, and Beyonce. While genetics probably has the most to do with it, a good combination of liposuction and fat transfer can help my patients of plastic surgery at my office in New York City.
A buttock lift is a plastic surgery procedure designed to improve the backside. The term is a slight misnomer because little is done to actually “lift” the buttock. What actually accounts for the improved appearance is a careful balance of liposuction and fat transfer. By making some parts of the buttock smaller and other parts larger, the result is an improved shape and the appearance of a lift. Simply adding volume to the buttock will make the buttock larger but will do nothing to improve the overall appearance.
This procedure has been gaining popularity in my practice of cosmetic surgery in New York City. My preferred technique involves carefully removing fat from the lower back. This creates a “scooped” appearance to the lower back and helps to make even the flattest backside pop. Next, liposuction is performed on the hips, outer thighs, and back of the legs. By sculpting these areas around the buttock, the buttock is given a pleasing shape that makes it stand out from the rest of the body. Additionally, that small little triangle on the top of the buttock (think about the shape of a thong) is sculpted with liposuction. This is very powerful at creating shape.
Now that the buttock shape has been improved through careful liposuction, the final step is to add volume in just the right places. The fat that is removed is carefully processed so that the best fat cells are isolated. The fat is then injected into the buttocks to create added volume and lifting.
This combination of liposuction and fat transfer will leave you swollen and bruised, but after a few weeks, the majority of swelling and bruising is gone and you will really begin to appreciate your new shape. Over the next 3-6 months, the fat that was transferred begins to mature and becomes a permanent part of your backside. For the finishing touch, I use the latest in radiofrequency devices (Reaction from Viora) to help tighten the skin and smooth any lumps and bumps commonly found on the buttock.
So with a procedure that combines liposuction, fat transfer, and radiofrequency, you can now have the firm, full, and shapely buttock that you desire.
