You must discontinue any exfoliating products including alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) serums, scrubs, retinol night creams and topical prescriptions (Triluma, Retin-A, Tretinoin etc…) for at least 5 days prior to and 5 days after your treatment.
Most of the time, there is no downtime after these treatments. However, there may be some deeper treatments that require one or two days of skin redness or sensitivity.
Be compliant! Consistency is key when treating acne. Giana will recommend an entire regimen for you to begin and the more faithful you are with in office treatments and home care, the better your results will be. Also, it is very important to apply sunscreen daily after this treatment, as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun’s damaging rays.
