Forehead Lift in New York City
Forehead lift, also known as brow lift, is one of the most common facial plastic surgery procedures. It can transform the appearance of the face by correcting sagging of the forehead, eyebrows, and upper eyelids. Women and men interested in forehead lift come to our New York City practice because of Dr. Matthew Schulman’s extensive experience in facial rejuvenation, advanced surgical techniques, and keen artistic eye.
Is Forehead Surgery Right for Me?
If you are interested in achieving one or more of the following goals, a forehead lift may be a good option for you:
- Reduce or eliminate wrinkles on the forehead and between the eyebrows
- Improve eyebrow sagging
- Eliminate eyebrow hooding over the upper eyelids
- Transform a worried, tired, or angered appearance
- Restore youthfulness to the forehead and brow area
- Reduce the appearance of a long forehead
- Lower the front hairline
During your consultation with Dr. Schulman at our New York City office, you will learn about the various techniques used in the forehead lift/brow lift procedure, including hairline incisions and endoscopic surgery. You will learn about anesthesia choices, facility options, and the typical recovery period. Dr. Schulman may also discuss other procedures commonly performed with a forehead lift, such as facelift and eyelid surgery.
The Forehead Lift Procedure
During forehead lift surgery, Dr. Schulman places incisions in a variety of locations depending on the specific technique chosen. He uses the most advanced surgical techniques to ensure a successful result with hidden incisions and minimal recovery time.
Endoscopic Forehead Lift
In the endoscopic technique, a small camera is inserted through small incisions behind the hairline. Because the incisions created during an endoscopic brow lift are hidden in the hair, the procedure leaves no visible scar.
Coronal Forehead Lift
The coronal technique allows for removal of significant excess skin. If a hairline incision is used, Dr. Schulman has the added ability to reduce the appearance of a long forehead and lower a receding hairline.
Recovery after Forehead Lift Surgery
After forehead lift surgery, Dr. Schulman will guide you through the recovery process. Most people return to work within a week. Your results will be fully apparent when swelling subsides, and the improvement in the appearance of your forehead and eyebrows will result in a more youthful appearance to your entire face. You will look younger and more rested. For most individuals, the results of brow lift surgery will last upwards of ten to fifteen years.
