Yes, the elos Plus skin rejuvenation system can be used not only on the face, but also on dark spots or hyperpigmentation on the hands, chest, back, shoulders and other areas.
How many treatments are required for the best results?
Generally, we recommend between 4 and 6 treatments depending on your skin type and concern.
Is there any downtime?
There is little to no downtime associated with the IPL. With deeper, more aggressive treatments, you can expect redness and slight swelling that lasts 3-4 days. You also may have light flaking that lasts 3-4 days.
Am I a candidate for a elos Plus Skin Rejuvenation (IPL)?
What do I need to do before and after my IPL treatment?
You must discontinue any exfoliating products including alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) serums, scrubs, retinol night creams and topical prescriptions (Triluma, Retin-A, Tretinoin etc…) for at least 5 days prior to and 5 days after your treatment.
IPL cannot be performed on sun burned or tanned skin. This includes tans from tanning beds. Self-tanner should be discontinued for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.
It is very important to apply sunscreen daily after this treatment, as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun’s damaging rays.
