Your Breasts are Cousins, not Sisters

Breasts are like snowflakes – no two are alike. I have seen a lot of breasts in my lifetime, and I have yet to meet a woman who has a right breast that is identical to her left breast. Some degree of asymmetry is normal and expected. This may be a slight difference in the volume, shape, nipple position, or breast fold height. They may be similar, but never identical. This is why I tell my patients that their breasts are like cousins, no sisters.

Success of a Brazilian Butt Lift

The success of a Brazilian Butt Lift has to do with the fat harvesting, processing, and injection technique.

This popular term refers to buttock augmentation with autologous fat transfer. These medical terms may seem confusing, but this means that we make your butt bigger using injections of your own fat. Fat is removed from areas of your body, this fat is processed and washed so that the fat cells are isolated, and then these fat cells are injected into your buttock. In general, several hundred to 1000 cc of fat cells are injected during a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure. So, how does making your butt bigger give you a “lift”? By adding volume to the butt, your backside becomes fuller, plumper, and actually gets lifted.

Adjustable Breast Implants?

There is a new weapon in the war against small breasts – a breast implant that has adjustable volume. Adjustable breast implants have a port through which saline can be added or removed. This allows the volume to be adjusted for various reasons. Before you get too excited, these are not intended to allow women to increase their breast size for a night on the town, or decrease the size for that important business meeting. The adjustment process involves a plastic surgeon placing a sterile needle through the skin into the fill port that is under the skin and meticulously adding or removing sterile saline solution. So it is a far cry from the Reebok Pump sneaker technology of the Eighties.

Fly in for Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Program in NYC

My New York City practice has grown considerably over the past several years. While the majority of my patients originally came for New York and the outer boroughs, an increasing number of people are now coming from greater distances. At first I began to draw patients from the greater Tri-State area as patients came to New York City for the latest innovative procedures. Recently, my patients have been coming even greater distances. In fact, I now routinely see patients that come from as far away as California, Florida, Bermuda, and Europe.
