Our patient had a large umbilical hernia repaired as a young child. This left her with excess skin and a large appearing belly button. She came to us to improve the cosmetic appearance of her belly button, which we did. We needed to remove the excess skin that remained from her original hernia operation. Her new belly button is smaller and makes it very hard to know she had a previous operation.
